Drug Charges
I’m facing criminal charges and I don’t want to go to jail!
Saving people from jail and prison is what Criminal Defense is for.
If you know you’re facing trouble, call us before you’re arrested. It’s important to get a legal strategy as soon as you can. Sometimes we can intervene before real trouble starts.
If you have been arrested, there is no time to waste. We work hard to save people from jail or prison sentences and minimize any financial hardship. Facing criminal charges can be one of the most stressful periods of your life. The consequences are serious. Don’t go it alone.
Should you get legal help for MINOR criminal charges?
No criminal charge is minor. You should know the consequences of a record, possible jail time, and your options. We can challenge evidence, file motions, and negotiate with the prosecutors to get an outcome you’re unlikely to get on your own. Don’t have your day in court be a disaster.
If you have been arrested for a drug crime, get help immediately.
The consequences can be serious for drug arrests. Before you talk to the police, talk to an experienced criminal lawyer. A conviction for possessing even “half a joint” can lead to an automatic one year driver license suspension. We can challenge the circumstances of your arrest and the criminal accusations themselves. Hopefully, we’ll never have to go to trial but regardless, we ensure you have an aggressive and skilled defense to make the prosecution meet its burden of proof.
What is “DRUG COURT”? Is it a good alternative to criminal court?
“Drug Court” is an alternative program for first time drug offenders. A team of professional and community leaders work together to coordinate services and support for individuals to become drug free, and hopefully, avoid any need to return to the court system in the future.
If the individual completes treatment and the program, all charges are dismissed. Okeechobee County has felony drug court, misdemeanor drug court, and juvenile drug court. We’ve been working with Okeechobee County Drug Court since its inception. We can explore if this is an option for you.
Need an arrest record permanently removed? That’s Expungement.
Everyone makes mistakes, but there are things an experienced legal team can do to lessen the negative repercussions of having an arrest record. The stigma doesn’t have to continue. Employer background checks are common now so expunging and sealing are more important than ever.
We can help. Florida law allows the court to seal or expunge your record if the defendant qualifies. Call to see if you qualify.
